Ruud Dennis Akinfenyor (Russian: Руд Акинфениор, born July 10, 1967) is a Dutch former professional footballer who is currently an actor in Margovya.
He began his career with Sugalskaya Gamblers F.C. in the Primera Division de Margovya in 1985 and played there for three years before being signed by Dutch club FC Utrecht. Two years later, he joined Feyenoord, where he became a regular member of the first team and won two Eredivisie titles and four KNVB Cups with the Rotterdam club.
Akinfenyor opted to return to Sugalskaya as a free agent at the end of the 1998-99 season, but he was only able to play one more season with the Gamblers before injuries finally forced him into retirement. Within a year of his retirement, Akinfenyor began appearing in Margovyan TV series and movies, and he became famous in Margovya as the alien admiral turned bounty hunter Reimars Uperlast in My Love From Above. His most famous roles are as Sergeant Gabriel Beltran in Iquitos, President General Ulysses Mavatonga in Escape From Muluwheyo, General Stephane Eskalumbuye in The Interceptors: Heroes & Better Men, and Dionisio Santibanez in The Martyrdom of Sta. Conrada.
Akinfenyor was born in Paramaribo, Suriname, on July 10, 1967 to Johannes Aloysius Akinfenyor and Marina Fyodorovna Kerikova. He was the eldest of three children. Akinfenyor's family moved to his mother's hometown in Casinovich, Sugalskaya when he was eight. When he was ten years old, Akinfenyor and his father got into a traffic accident; the incident gave him a scar on his forehead which is still visible today. He began playing youth football for Deportivo Casinovich as a fullback before eventually being shifted to the front as a central forward when he was signed by Sugalskaya Gamblers at 19 years old.
