|The Interceptors: Lex Talionis chronology|
The Interceptors: Lex Talionis is the name of the ninth season of The Interceptors. It stars Polikarp Chakulakov, Klaudia Glaser, Rostislav Abramov, Galina Politova, Arbat Chomsky, Fadia Serova and Trofim Pavlov. The series is a thirteen-episode serial, and in it, the Interceptors must tackle the threat of a gang of extrajudicial killers wreaking havoc throughout Margovya.
Lex Talionis is the third of a three-season extension approved by the Margovyan National Broadcasting Network on October 2013. Filming began on October 2015 and wrapped up by March 2016. The series premiered on June 5, 2016 and concluded on August 28 of the same year.
The series reverted to the song "Short Change Hero" by the British band The Heavy as its opening theme after negative reception to last season's opening theme.
The Interceptors are now a forever changed side after the departure of Ieronim Antonovich and the deaths of Stanislav Bekchurambetov and Casemiro Gonçalves during their last mission to foil "Plan Yellow", the plot to overthrow the Margovyan government and replace it with a military junta. Polikarp Chakulakov takes over as the new Interceptor at Ieronim's recommendation, and after a quiet few months on the job, the Interceptors are suddenly tasked by Director Soryanova to investigate the deaths of two American soccer players playing in Margovya in a hotel fire in Casinovich, Sugalskaya. Polikarp initially refuses to look into the case because he believes that it is "well below the Interceptors' pay grade", but after taking a look at the evidence and the circumstances of the deaths, Polikarp eventually relents to accepting the case. It turns out that this case is not just simply about the deaths of two girls in suspicious circumstances; it's about something bigger than even the Interceptors could have imagined....

|With Ieronim gone with the wind, Gavriil takes charge of the Interceptors, now reduced in size with the deaths of Stanislav and Casemiro during their last mission. The team barely has time to get used to their smaller team when Director Soryanova hands them a case which is seemingly unrelated to their specialty: a fire had broken out in a hotel room in Casinovich, Sugalskaya, killing the two women inside. At first, Gavriil sees the case as much beneath the Interceptors, but a second look at the case file makes him realize that there is something fishy with the case, and he agrees to investigate further. Trips to the hotel room in question and the coroner's office and a simple DNA test reveal that the two women found dead inside the hotel room were not the two women who were supposed to be staying there on the night of the incident.|

Erin had filed a case against the Crows because of the video, but the Crows were not interested in going to court and wanted to settle the matter by their own methods. Britt and Erin were invited to the Crows' headquarters in Casinovich and made to drop the case after the Crows torture their friend Pearl Riggs in front of them. Britt and Erin agree to drop the case in exchange for the Crows sparing them with the condition that both of them should never play football again.
