The Tipton incident was an incident mid-1995, where a (ATL) BOC International chlorine tanker accidentally hit a car on the level (grade) crossing at Tipton Station. It leaked and led to the evacuation of a 200 meter security zone for 22 hours as it was cleared up. 3 people, including both the drivers were treated for chlorine exposure.
